Volunteer appreciation by "Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz!"

In the context of the German-American Day ceremony on September 30, the state initiative "Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz!" acknowledged the continued efforts of three local volunteers to strengthen the local German-American friendship. Without the commitment of countless volunteers, events bringing together the local population and American families could not take place, important information would not get passed on and there would be much less interaction.

Project manager John Constance honored the tireless efforts of Bianka and William Pfannenstiel to support fellow American families and help with the implementation of the monthly German-American Stammtisch in the city of Ramstein, which facilitates German-American encounters in the community.

Sugin Musgrave, a very active member of the military community, was also awarded a Ceritificate of Appreciation to acknowledge her long-lasting efforts to help U.S. service members and their families in the KMC to get settled in the area quickly and become an active part of their village.

For more information, take a look at the background report regarding her contributions for the German-American community on the Ramstein Air Base website.
