2nd National Park Festival

In May 2016, the very successful National Park Festival was hosted under the motto “The first year of the National Park – 100 years National Park Service” (Ein Jahr Nationalpark – 100 Jahre National-Park Service) in Schwollen. As such, the second National Park Festival will take place on Sunday, June 11th, at the fairground near the Bostelsee. The festival is organized by the Freundeskreis National Park Hunsrück e.V., the county St. Wendel and the municipality Nohfelden, in combination with the districts Eisen and Stören, which both border the national park.

The festival will begin at 10 o’clock with an ecumenical mass. Following a podium discussion with the honorary guests, the relay baton will arrive at the marquee around 11 o’clock. With the transfer of the baton to the municipality Nohfelden, the festival is officially open.

From 12 till 6 pm, a diverse musical entertainment program will take place parallel to an informative supporting program. Visitors can gather information about the national park at numerous stalls and about the region surrounding it. There will also be plenty of food & drinks!

Organizers: Freundeskreis Nationalpark Hunsrück-Hochwald, the county St. Wendel and the municipality Nohfelden, in combination with the districts Eisen and Stören, which both border the national park.
