Young Leaders Forum (YLF)

Germany is an important ally of the United States with a sizeable footprint of U.S. Forces stationed in various locations, in particular in Rheinland-Pfalz. Frequent personal interaction and networking lay the groundwork for continued mutual understanding between Germans and Americans. To this end, the Atlantic Academy - a Kaiserslautern-based, non-profit and non-partisan think tank, - in consultation with the HQ USAFE-AFAFRICA Host Nation Advisor’s Office, initiated the “Young Leaders’ Forum” program. The aim of the program is to create a transatlantic network of young leaders and multipliers, enhance knowledge about each other’s countries, as well as hone leadership skills. The Young Leaders Forum Rheinland-Pfalz was drafted in November 2020, developed in the beginning of 2021, and carried out twice: May 21 – Apr 22 and Nov 22 – May 23. Currently, planning is underway for the third round of the program.
