The 2026 midterms are the most highly anticipated political event of the year. With the chance to reconfigure power relations in D.C. and beyond, midterm elections in the U.S. have been proven to be pivotal moments for presidents, parties and the country itself. In our talk, Prof. Sean Theriault will discuss the election results, the implications of these results for the Democratic and Republican Party and for the system of governance. How will the results shape the role of Congress and the Presidency? Which changes can be detected compared to the 2024 election and what might this mean for the 2028 presidential elections? We're looking forward to discussing these questions and more with our expert and our audience!
