Description:

Artificial intelligence has become an indispensable part of our lives. Its convenience has already changed our daily life and is now increasing its influence on the educational landscape in both Germany and the United States. This prompts the question, whether AI will be only used as a tool to fill educational gaps or if it could replace our professors entirely?

Our event “Frenemy – Can AI replace your professor?” takes a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities AI imposes on the future of education. Each of the panelists represents a different area that is thoroughly shaping the digitization of education: politics, corporations, and higher education.

After each speaker’s input, we will engage in a panel discussion moderated by the awarded science-journalist Eva Wolfangel. We will discuss the question “Can AI replace your professor?” and subsequently move to a virtual meeting space, Sophya.ai. Instead of having the post-panel coffee chat in person, like pre-COVID times, we will join the virtual space of Sophya.ai, which allows participants to network and further discuss the topic with the panelists and among each other in a video game-like environment.
