In June, we had the great pleasure of welcoming a group of students from the Immanuel-Kant-Gymnasium Stadt Pirmasens here at the Atlantic Academy!

As part of their project week "Americans in Germany", the students and their teachers took a closer look at the American presence here in Rheinland-Pfalz. They visited archives, old military installations in Pirmasens and our institute in Kaiserslautern, among many other things.

As a highlight we were able to invite our volunteers Bianca and Terra to join the discussion on American experiences here in Germany. Both women are participants of the CIEE Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX) / Parlamentarisches Patenschafts-Programm and did a great job of presenting different viewpoints on their life in Germany and the US. The students had many questions and we ended the morning with a great discussion on exchanges!
